People in Medjimurje danced in gardens and on meadows on May 1st. On Easter Sunday young girls and boys linked into brotherhood and sisterhood by giving Easter eggs as a present.    The dancing elements of dances from Medjimurje show the significant influence of "cardas", a folk dance from the neighbouring Hungary.
